GMM Grammy Public Company Limited, the leading music company in Thailand, has successfully set up GMM Music Co., Ltd. (GMM MUSIC) and transferred its music business to GMM Music on 1 September 2023. SRPP provided comprehensive legal advice and support to GMM Grammy and GMM Music throughout the process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition of assets, liabilities, contracts and personnel. The transfer of music business from GMM Grammy to GMM Music is a significant milestone for both companies, as it will enable them to focus on their core competencies and leverage their strengths in the music industry. The spin-off of GMM Music on the Stock Exchange of Thailand will further boost the growth potential and competitiveness of GMM Music, as well as create value for its shareholders and stakeholders. GMM Music aims to become a leading player in the "New Music Economy", which encompasses various aspects of music creation, distribution, consumption and monetization.
The transaction was headed by Panuwat Chalongkuamdee (Founding Partner), Natira Siripun (Partner), Viparvee Chaemchaeng (Associate) Pimkwan Subprasert (Associate), Pasinee Jiravitawat (Associate), Thunyaporn Pattarapipatkul (Associate) and Krisakorn Thongprasert (Associate).
