SRPP was pleased to welcome distinguished partners from EY Corporate Services Limited - Khun Kasem Kiatsayrikul (Tax Market Segment Leader / Partner - International Tax and Transaction Services), together with Khun Pariyanuch Ngamcherdtrakul (Associate Director, International Tax and Transaction Services) and Khun Onnicha Santtiwongboon (Manager, International Tax and Transaction Services) - for an insightful session titled “M&A Unplugged: The Tax Side of M&A: Risks, Rewards, and Real-World Structures”.
The session was held on August 22, 2025, at the SRPP office, and provided our lawyers with valuable insights into the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions. The agenda covered an overview of M&A, deal structures and case studies, typical structures (share deal vs. asset deal), red-flag considerations from a buyer’s perspective, and updates on the progress of personal income tax worldwide.
The discussion offered both risks and rewards in structuring M&A transactions and highlighted practical real-world examples for navigating complex tax issues. The session enabled our team to deepen their understanding of how tax implications can significantly influence deal-making decisions.
SRPP would like to thank the speakers for their time and expertise and looks forward to future collaboration.
