On Thursday, August 8, 2024, Panuwat Chalongkuamdee, our founding partner and a renowned veteran of business law and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), delivered a lecture on the topic of "Business Law and Risk Management" for The Minor Food Group Public Company Limited. The lecture is a part of Comprehensive Leader Program held by Thammasat Coaching Consulting and Networking Center (CONC).
The Minor Food Group, a core subsidiary of Minor International Public Company Limited, listed on the the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET:MINT), stands as one of the largest and most influential restaurant chains in the Asia-Pacific region. Founded in 1980 by William E. Heinecke, the company has grown to operate over 2,400 outlets across 23 countries12. With a diverse portfolio that includes popular brands like The Pizza Company, Swensen’s, Sizzler, and Dairy Queen, Minor Food Group is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Their commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction has solidified their reputation as a leader in the food service industry. The Minor Food Group itself is not listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). However, its parent company, Minor International Public Company Limited (MINT), is listed on the SET.
The session included various topics such as legal risk, roles and duties of director and executive, and liabilities of director and executive. The objective of the session was to equip participants with a practical and simple overview of business law and risk management allowing them to be able to identify and mitigate business risks through effective risk management practices.
